94 S10 Blazer Engine quits
 

Driving home from work the other day, my 94 S10 Vortec started up just fine and I headed home. Within a mile the engine just died. After a few minutes it started up again and I got about another mile, then it dies again. No sputtering, No warning just died as if turn off the ignition. Well I managed to start it again in a few minutes and make it a few blocks to a repair shop. I left it with the shop, and the mechanic tells me it is the ECM, and that the fuel injector is not getting power. He ordered an ECM and installed but tells me that the fuel injector is still not getting the electrical "Pulses" to fire off the injector. He says it now needs a new PROM to go with the "New" ECM. Can anyone shed any light on this problem?

after you started it and ran it down the street alittle did the check engine light come on? if so id check that i would not be suprised if you got code 32 witch is EGR valve id pull it out and try and clean it.
your symptoms are close to whatmy blazer didwhen my EGR valve got stuck open with a chunck of carbon.
just some suggestions let us know what you find out.
