96 Tranny in a 98?

Default 96 Tranny in a 98?

Will a 1996 transmission out if a blazer fit in a 98 blazer? The are both 4wd.

They will be physically different as the 96 will have a single piece main case while the 98 will have a 2 piece main case (removable bell housing). They are different lengths, but so long as you keep the tail housing from the 98, you should be fine as far as the length goes.

maybe....my 96 has the removable bell housing.....seams like 96 was the switch over year
