98 Blazer Tansmission Issues

My 98 blazer makes a noise similar to two pieces of metal clanging together in the bell of the transmission. What could it be?

there are 2 access plates on the bell, you can remove them and take a look. Cant think of much it could be unless something is in there or a bolt coming out

Thanks that was my first thought but wasn't certain about access plates
