99 blazer starting problems

Hi, I purchased a '99 Blazer last year ans since then have replaced the transmission, fuel pump, distributor cap, starter, battery, spark plugs, and just today the ignition coil. I have had it running although recently it hasn't been, the reason I replaced the ignition coil today is it won't start. It starter cranks, the fuel pump is good, but it won't fire at all. When I shut the key off it diesels for a sec. but that's it. Any suggestions.

Back to basics, right? Fuel, Spark, Compression, etc...

Have you pulled out a plug and checked to see if there's a good spark when you crank?

I just tried removing a plug and seeing if it sparks, which it doesn't, I'm going to take the battery in to get a new one tomorrow because I think it might be causing some issues. If you have any other thoughts please let me know.

If the battery is strong enough to crank the engine over then you should be getting a spark.

You said you changed the coil & distributor cap. Stupid question... did you replace the rotor too?

Are all the wires and connectors in place? Are the spark plug wires good?

you might check the ignition module also.

check pick up coil and wires if you ave fire from the pick up coil your distributor might be the problem,

Its alive

So after replacing the battery it starts without fail. I wasn't sure if that would fix it because I bought a battery for it last year but it works. Thanks for your tips.

More issues

So now my Blazer sometimes stalls after idling for a few minutes, then afterward won't start. Any thoughts?
