99 Chevy Blazer - Transmission
 

Hi All,

I have a 99 Chevy Blazer that I just recently changed out the transmission myself (age 18 yrs). I also changed out the solenoids. It was not shifting into 3rd gear at all. It would just rev up. So, that's what started me on changing out the solenoids and ultimately the transmission. Now, it will go into 3rd gear but is shifting into it very slow. Once it's in gear it fine but I know there is still something wrong.

I would really appreciate any thoughts. I have already spent around $1000.00 and I have no more money!

What do you mean by slow?

Your tranny should shift, under light to moderate peddle, at 15, 30-35, 45, and torque converter will lock up in 3rd and 4th gears when at a constant speed over 45mph.

Check your tranny fluid level, color, smell it.
Verify your tranny fuse is good.
Verify your tranny wiring is firmly attached at the tranny and the puter.
