Abs Module replacement

I want to replace my Abs Module instead of trying to put a band aid on it.I was told"If I replace Abs Module..I would have to replace the Abs Pump too!"Is this true?"My Abs light is on all the time.I had my mechanic run a scan on it.Come to find out the Abs module is shot.I want to replace it with a new one but don`t wanna to have to replace the pump too.It is what it is if I have to buy both at the same time..I`ll just have to bite the bullet and buy both..
Thanks for your time....:icon_eek:

Per factory manual this is not true when you replace the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). But you will need to have tire size programmed into the module with a Tech 2 or otherwise capable scan tool.

If you replace the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) the brakes will need bled using a Tech 2 or otherwise capable scan tool.

Are you certain that the EBCM is bad - or did someone just tell you it was bad, and that you needed to also replace the BPMV? Sounds like someone using the S.W.A.G. system of diagnosis and attempting to include all the things it might be. How about giving us some problem/diagnostic history/ABS codes? Otherwise, I think your specific question is answered.

Good luck and best wishes for a successful repair.

I bought mine from autozone and it was easy to replace cost about 200 with the core trade in.
Also did you find any bumpstops
