Blazer won't start, no electrical power at all!

It's on an 84 s10 blazer, originally 2.8l, but swapped for a 3.4l. Still carb'd.

Went out to start it this morning and it's turning like normal, but won't fire up. So I pull the filter and put a screw driver in the carb, to hold the choke plate open (the closest plate to the front). I've heard that works if you can't get it started, but have never done it before. So the second I try to crank it with the choke plate held open, I hear a little pop and all power is gone. No buzzers, lights, stereo, etc.

I've checked all the fuses under the dash, they're perfect condition. Are there any other fuses under the hood? I heard a little pop or crack right when I tried to start, so it's got to be a fuse, relay, or breaker of some kind. Battery still has power, measured with a multimeter ~14v. What in the world is it? I need help asap, need it for work tomorrow. Please let me know! Thanks.
