Default cannot find this fluid leak!!!!

i am leaking trans fluid somewhere on the driver side, in the area around the front driveshaft universal yoke at the t-case. i cant pin point it because it is sprayed everywhere. it doesnt leak sitting or idling. where is the vent located? i did go through some high water the other day, and im wondering if it may have sucked some water in and is spitting out trans fluid instead. the dipstick is a bit high, but not milky in color. there are some rubber hoses, look like vacuum lines, in the area of the leak. its a 95 4dr

it could be just the grease from the driveshaft itself, or fluid from your t-case.

i know it can be a RPITA trying to track these things down, but is the "spray" centered over the shaft seal on your t-case, or is it more centered over the driveshaft yoke?

if you seriously can't tell easily, then it's time to clean the underside of your truck off, and watch as the spray developes.

i had the t-case leak before in that general area, but it was brown gear oil. this is definatly trans fluid. it has stopped now. it was dripping from somewhere on that side of the trans and dripping onto the driveshaft, causing it to spray everywhere. its stopped now, so i think it was caused by water entering the vent
