xgiovannix12 07-03-2011 09:48 PM

yea in the trans .

chris015 07-03-2011 09:50 PM

Is it actually out of the transmission sitting on the coffee table or are you wanting to give the trans a good cleaning while driving it?

well someone gave me an 88 k2500 for a plow truck all the gears work cept reverse . He told me that it worked the last time he used the truck . he parked it for the summer. this winter he plowed 1 time foward trys to go back and it wont engage reverse so im thinking theres a clog in it

i did drop the pan today with my pops but we didnt take it out yet

Hows does the forward gears shift? Before removing the valve body remember there is a bunch of little check balls etc that will fall out. I have no idea where they go,but if you do this i can find you some diagrams etc.

Id put the pan back on,put in some new fluid and add some seafoam trans flush and drive it 40 miles then change the filter etc and fluid...if thats not it I remember a thread on it on another forum about having no reverse and issues that cause it. Im trying to find it now

kk cool well i didnt remove the valves yet but i did replace the pan and the fluid again we blew it out with the air hose and nodda so yea

also she shifts like a breeze but i got no plates on it yet so yea

i might add some of that lucas trans treatment see what happens

that seafoam trans flush stuff is pretty good. I did it to my brothers van and you should of seen the filter after we did it. It was raunchy.
