Default Coolant Flush advice?

I am flushing the Death-Cool out of my truck on thursday with a Prestone flush kit. I am going to hook it up to the heater core as well. I will be replacing it with Peak Global Lifetime 50/50non 2-EH coolant. Does anyone have any tips or tricks or anything they think I should know before I do this (turn heat controls on/off? etc. etc.?) Current Dexcrap has 30k miles on it and has started to show signs of sludging/grains.

thanks

Sure, find the leak in your system that has allowed air in causing the problem you are experiencing with your coolant.

Other than that, a quick search should turn up more results.

When I redid the cooling system on the '98 Blazer...Water pump, thermostat, hoses, heater core, etc..I noticed that there was so much sludge and muck that it had plugged the pin holes on the radiator cap, not allowing it to draw from the coolant tank. Went ahead and replaced that, too. Check your cap to make sure it's able to draw from the coolant tank, or replace it as well...only about $15.
