Dexron VI Trans Fluid (Comparability)

DEXRON®-III Automatic Transmission Fluid. Look for “Approved for the H-Specification” on the label.
My question is it ok to mix old dexron III Fluid with the newer Dexron vI Fluid because I am in need of trans filter and fluid service (Approx 5qts of new fluid) an want to be sure this would not cause a issue with my Trans, since I have absolutely no issues with it and do not want to create any issues. (2005 Blazer LS rear wheel drive 4.3 Auto Trans)
. Thanks in Advance Ken

No problem what so ever.

I would think if they were not compatible then the manufacturer would not recommend it as a substitute. I've mixed both in the past when I wanted to use what I had left from a previous purchase. Never noticed any difference what so ever in shifting operation.
