Hi all- I had a trouble code checked at Advance because of the 'service engine' light, and it came up 'emissions evaporation' something. The guy said it could be the EGR valve. What is this, and is it a pain to replace myself ? The truck has been running smoothly, so I had no clue why the engine light came on. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Evap Emissions doesn't deal with the EGR valve. What was the exact trouble code?
If it was an EVAP code... When was the last time you filled up with fuel? If it was P0440, then mostlikely your gas cap is loose. Try tightening it until you hear atleast 3 clicks and go from there. It is possible that the gas cap is faulty, or that the EVAP vent solenoid is bad, but start by tightening the cap.
