Emissions delete?

I have a 2000 blazer, so it has all of the emissions junk, I was wondering if I were to v8 swap it with a ls, would I need to keep that, or could I get rid of that junk.

You can get rid of it with the 4.3 or a v8. You will throw codes for it, so you would want to tune out all the emissions related sensors with programming software- or have a tuner do it

Exactly what "emissions junk" are you wishing to get rid of, and why? Fuel injection?

I was figuring he meant egr, secondary air pump and evap system. But I probably shouldn't assume things lol

and that is what I was mostly wondering about, but I think in my state once it hits a certain age it does not matter anymore. Thank you for your input.

Uh oh...

**I have never done this to a vehicle, and do not recommend for others to do this, I just have knowledge of it**

My lawyer will thank me later... I'm not trying to get in trouble like Volkswagen:icon_lolsign:

Its probably best to try and keep the egr and air pump just for the sake of not getting fined and so my car can pass emissions, thank you to all of your input it is much appreciated.
