Engine making strange sounds..
 

Well i inherited this truck from my dad. Its an '02 and my dads owned it since '04. The engine makes a sound when idling that sounds like a woodpecker to say the least. Its make this sound since he's owned it. Any idea why? also the serpentine belt sqeals when it gets cold out which is kinda embarrassing...any fixes? Thanks!

Could be a stuck lifter. As far as the belt, get a goodyear gatorback and replace the tensioner and idler.
