engine noise..cant figure it out

Default engine noise..cant figure it out

i was driving home from school today and my engine started making noise like its like a high pitched squeel..almost like something is rubbing...and it only did it when i pushed the gas.... but now it does it as soon as i turn the car on. any idea?

The most likely cause is the accessory drive belt. There are quite a few threads on this. If it has not been replaced, I would try that first. I prefer Goodyear Gatorback belts and many others on here have had good luck with them also.

You do know that you have to feed the squirrel every once in a while dont you?
When you get the old belt off, check to "feel" that all the pulleys turn smoothly and freely. Probably wouldnt hurt to change the belt tensioner as well.
