Engine Stall

My engine started stalling on me, and would take awhile to start and eventually wouldn't start at all until I sprayed starting fluid in the throttle body.

As I'm driving, it'll drive fine, then it'll start jumping with my foot on the gas. I'll give it more gas and it'll drive then start jumping again, then eventually stall. I just changed my fuel pressure regulator and checked for leaks as the plenum was off, by turning the key on. No leaks...

When I bought the truck, the wires were crossed and I didn't know until I bought new wires. I installed the wires correctly and it ran a whole lot better. Before the wires, I bought NGK plugs but I didn't gap them.

Personally, I'm thinking with driving with the words crossed and not gapping the spark plugs, I fouled out the spark plugs and need to replace them.

What do y'all think?

Starting when you add fuel means you have a fuel delivery problem. Last month you performed a fuel pump max output and leak down test at the filter. It failed both. Max output should be 70-100 psi and stay above 50 psi for ten minutes. Your readings at the filter were 60 psi ( under the 70 minimum) and it dropped to 20 psi in 10 seconds.

60 psi is the minimum for the engine to start. Test your pressure at the filter again. I think your pump has worn out on it's own or from operating against that kinked line at the filter.

Fuel Relay

Ended up being my fuse relay. It was bad and I changed it. Runs and drives now with no issues.

LOL - There is always something - and if there is nothing we start to tinker with the stuff... ;)

Had my alternator go bad 4 days ago - replacement had been sitting for 3 years on the shelf. 20 minutes late running as it should.
