ignition module/switch
So I'm sitting here watching tv and thinking about this. 2 days ago my blazer threw 12 codes, I researched the codes and everything I read pointed at the ignition module. So I stop at the parts store and get a price, $100, well, to me spending that was a bit extreme on something that I didn't know was going to fix the problem. So I went to a local junkyard and found another 97 blazer and starting pulling the module. The wires that run down the steering column were all zip tied to other wires under there, I didn't think anything about it it as I have never seen 1 before. Well tonight I start pulling mine out and there were no zip ties. Now this tells me 1 thing, I either bought a used 1 for $8 that had recently been replaced or mine was already replaced at some point. Has anyone replaced theirs and if so was yours zip tied? Oh, and it did fix my problem, no more CEL and its running great now!!!
