Default intake gasket job

Well,I was able to get the job done, about 12 hours of labor. One of the most time consuming jobs considering how "simple" it should be. If I had to do it over,I could probably swing it in 6 hours know that I know all the tricks. I am proficient at wrenching, but my advice to a non-mechanically inclined individual is: get a shop to do the job. Thanks for the lead to D-tips!

Default RE: intake gasket job

It is all about having the right tools. When I did mine, I removed the power steering pump pulley just because I had the proper pulley removal/installation tool. This freed me from having to remove those two "hidden" nuts that are a royal pain. A non-mechanically inclined person probably should not attempt this, but we all were non-mechanically inclined at some point. With help from someone a bit more mechanically inclined and access to the proper tools, I am confident that anyone could do this.
