I am installing an Edelbrock Intake manifold on my 89 S16 Jimmy. I am in the process of blasting all the bolts and brackets. Should I paint the intake bolts? Should I use thread sealant on the bolts? I have the Factory service manual and it does not mention using thread sealant on the bolts or around the water ports on the heads. My thoughts is to use thread sealant on the bolts for the water jackets and coat the remaining bolts with a coat of oil. Once I have all the bolts torqued to specification I would than spray clear coat on the exposed bolt heads. Any recommendations will be appreciated.
