So heres the deal. The transmission on my dad's K1500 Suburban is slipping BAD. I do however still have access to my Blazer's trans. The only difference I can see is the Suburbans trans appears to be a 4L60E while the Blazer's is a 4L60.

Anything worth pursuing here guys?

 

ok wait. "4l60" is a 700r4" 4l60e is electronic....what year is your blazer?

 

Blazer is a '92, Suburban is a '93. Both have overdrive.

According to wiki I am indeed a year off. '93 was the first year S10s had the 4L60E. So whats the difference? Can I make the 4L60 into a 4L60E? I'm guessing so but with a ton of work that isn't worth it

You cannot make a 4L60/700R4 into a 4L60E.

 

What do you suppose would happen if a 700R4 was put into the suburban?
