MAF Sensor

Quick question-
If I unplug the MAF sensor, should the engine cut off? Tried it for a test and it made little difference in the idle.
The reason I did it is I'm having a p0101 issue I'm trying to track down.
Thanks in advance for y'alls input.

See the diagnostic charts in this link. You will need a scanner and a multimeter to diagnose your MAF sensor.

See the diagnostic charts in this link. You will need a scanner, a multimeter, and a hand vacuum pump to diagnose your MAP sensor.

I scoured the search function on here and never came across that link. Thanks man!

You're welcome. A lot of good info there. FYI you can't access it unless you are logged in.
