motor swap

im putting a new motor and tranny into my 93 2 door, its a 4.3 vortech, and so is the 1 that i plan on getting, but. i believe its out of a 95 (the newer style blazers), would it matter if i were to drop it in?, would all the wires sill match? im guessing not, but maybe...

the major obstical to teh swap would be IF and that is a big IF the '95 has the newer style intake manifold to head bolt alignment. Old style the bolts angled into the heads, new style they changed the angle.
This article should help to explain it better.

the good news is YES, you can swap it over, even if it has the different intake/head angle.
You will have to swap the heads and intake, but it wil work.

As for the wiring and sensors, yes you will need to use your '93 sensors, swap them into the '95 block.

I swapped a '85 4.3 with a two piece rear main seal into a '93. My son still drives the '93.
