Need detent cable - where to find?

Where would be a good online parts store for a detent cable for a thm700r4 transmission? Some books call this a Throttle Valve cable. We here in east kentucky call it a passing gear cable.

I need one for my T-10 Blazer 4.3L 1991 model.

Thanks.

This cable should be available at any number of places. RockAuto.com is one of them.

Thanks, I already have one on order from them. Locally no one could find one.

It's a fairly easy part to find if you use the correct terminology.

The 700R4 uses a TV CAble, its called a TV cable because it controls the Throttle Valve (TV) in the transmission. That TV controls the tranny shift points.

In the TH350 transmission it was a detent cable or more commonly called a kick down cable. It downshifted the transmission only.

The problem lies in people using hte wrong terminology and trying to interchange the parts. Your not going to find a detent cable for a 700R4, it was never made. Conversly your not going to find a TV cable for a TH350, again it was never made.
