New Here. 1992 blazer help please.

Hey everyone. I got a 1992 s10 tahoe-blazer and its been giving me trouble. It has a rough time getting out of 1st and 2nd gear.Once it hits about 33-35mph it clicks out of 1st gear.i checked the vacuum hose and and changed tranny fluid+filter and she is still doing it. do i need to replace the tranny?
Also, my blazer has been running hot, i had a hole in my radiator hose and i replaced it. It seems she is still running hot though. Does anyone have any answers.

Thanks,
Brad

RE: New Here. 1992 blazer help please.

first how many miles were on the vehicle when you replaced thetransmission fluid and filter? there is some thing called transmission "shock" i dont know much about it but it makes it so the clutch packs dont grip or some thing like the old fluid had dibris that help it.
second for your running hot problem i would start with the most inexpencive part the thermostat, posibly change all the coolant.
