The difficulties extends quite a bit beyond the wiring harness. The integration in the newer systems with the BCM (body control module) and other systems (ABS, Airbag, etc) makes it very difficult to just start swapping in parts. Your 95 is a very special (read messed up) year.

yep..messed up is right. Guess I'll just replace the 4.3 and look around for a good deal on another Blazer(2wd). oh well..wishful thinking. Thanks for the reply.

well i purchased the blazer today looks like this little project is official, funny how it went from wanting to put a new motor in my 95 to buying a totally different vehicle to accomidate the motor i found. anyways, what kind of wiring problems am i looking at, and the fitment is a slight concern as well. what kind of mods under the hood have to be done to get the v8 in there? and thanks for all the info so far, been very helpful.

oh and figured i'd throw this out there, have yet another engine option had a guy contact me about a 99 350 he had out of wrecked truck. would this motor in anyway make the swap easier wiring wise?

very helpful appreciate it. parts for a SAS are being gathered as well this should be a fun project, more then likely ill be asking for some tips in the future
