No bottom end power

New to the group, thanks for the add!
I just bought an 81 k5. Sbc 350 turbo 350 transmission. The transmission was shot when I bought it and I had it rebuilt and just got it back in. While driving it don’t seem to have a lot of power taking off. It will barely climb a hill and I mean barely. It has a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor and I don’t know much at all about carbs. I’m going to change plugs tomorrow, wires and distributor looks fairly new. Do you guys have any ideas? Thanks

Is this new after the tranny rebuild?

Here are some words that I never thought I would say again: make sure that the accelerator pump is working correctly. Also:
  1. Check the fuel filter
  2. Make sure your takeoff is in first gear
  3. Check for a strong regular spark at the plugs
  4. Check base ignition timing and make sure it jumps at snap throttle
  5. Is the fuel good?

George

yes its after rebuild but idk how it ran before as it wouldn’t drive at all when I got it. Plugs and filter I’m changing tomorrow.
