oil change
 



i am now at the point unfortunatly in 1ft of snow having to change my oil..i tried yesterday but the drain plug will not come off, its liek they put gorilla glue on it can some1 please help and tell me the best ways to remove the plug with stripping???? id appreciate it

Calm down there killer... No need to bump a post a mere hour after the first one.

Have you tried heating it? Not a ton of heat, but a bit...

Also, are you using the appropriately sized wrench/socket? I know that sometimes with drain plugs, a standard will fit better than a metric so try out a few different sizes to get the one that fits the best.

Ya heat it... if its stripped try some fluted bolt extractors, they work like magic!

I know of two different sized plugs that have been used on Blazers, a 12mm or a 15mm. I suggest a good box-end wrench for the job.

and if its on that tight use another tool to add leverage.
