Oil Pan

I have a 97 S10 4x2 My question is after i drain the oil i would like to replace the oil pan or clean it out and reinstall. Can I just buy a new pan from an online dealer. All I need is the pan, gasket, and sealer correct?

RE: Oil Pan

Why do you want to remove and clean the pan? Depending on your vehicle, you are talking about a lot of trouble or a WHOLE LOT of trouble. Check this quick thread.

RE: Oil Pan

unless you havent changed your oil in thousands upon thousands of miles then there is no need to take it out and clean it.
