oil treatments...worth it?

any suggestions on any oil addatives to help stop engine oil leakes? my new vehicle may have a leaky rear main seal. the motor was rebuilt about a year ago but sat for about 8 months. it doesnt leak when the vehicle is at idle. only leaks after vehicle is warmed up and has been driven for a while.

i was told to try the lucas brand product but i was wondering who may have tried an additive that was happy with the results.

in my experience i don't think oil treatments work, if they did work so well why would't car manufactures use or suggest using these miracle cures, however i have heard good things form qualified technicians that switching to a high milage oil can help your seals swell and thus stop leaks, maybe something to think about if you are stillusing synthtic in a high milage engine

If you replace that rear seal gasket, wouldn't that help to fix your problems?

it would fix the problem but when you have 3 bulged disks and a 7 week old baby you dont really have the time or the ability to work on it do yea?
