Default Overheating issues!

Hello all. I'm having an overheating issue with my 2000 blazer. It's 4door 4x4 if that helps. Anyways, a week ago I was towing a small flatbed trailer roughly 200 miles with a bed on it. Nothing extravagant. About 150 miles in, I noticed my temp gauge was running at around 215. I turned the heat on full blast, which brought the temp down to 210 (normal for this truck). No issues for the rest of the trip. Fast forward to this past Friday, I'm towing the trailer (empty, light enough to move by hand) and my temp shot up to 215 again, only this time turning on the heat did not help, even though the heat was nice an toasty. The temp kept going up, until it hit the 3/4 mark, in which case I pulled over and let it cool. I noticed it cools if I let it idle with the heat on. There was steam coming from the radiator cap. Coolant level was fine. I limped it home (40 miles) stopping every 10 mins to let it cool. Oil pressure was good, no ticks or knocks. Actually ran totally normal but just hot! Now it overheats even sitting in the garage idling, but still runs as good as ever. Any ideas? I need this fixed soon!
