Quick question about my newly aquired 02 S10 Blazer

So Ive heard alot of people saying that if using a blazer to tow then its a good Idea to go ahead and put a tranny cooler in. Now, my question is were the 2002's equipped with a tranny cooler? Its an LS series with NO tow package. As far as finding the parts Ive already used my search function and found what to buy and where to get it. This forum is very helpfull.

not sure if it did or not but your tranny should have some kind of cooling to it my 94 has tranny lines connecting to the radiator

Hmm I've never heard of a Blazer needing any transmission cooler. As stated, you're truck's tranny is cooled by the radiator as it is. I would think that'd be sufficient for small amounts of towing.

What are you planning on towing and how often/far?

An 18 ft runabout boat....about 20 miles each weekend for the summer

You will have the factory cooler in the "cold" side of the radiator (passenger side). It is always a good idea to put an auxiliary transmission cooler on. I install the B&M SuperCooler on all of my vehicles. It has a viscosity controlled by pass so it does not over cool the fluid.
