Default Rearend Woes....1996

Well, sorry for no newbie thread, but I need a question answered if the Blazer gurus would be so inclined. Will a rearend out of the older square body blazer fit and work in my 96 4wd. They both have drum brakes etc, and I realize that I need to verify that the gears are the same as to not mismatch the front rearend, but other than that, will it work?

Thanks in advance.

Bill

Love it short and sweet.

Did the frame or anything change from gen one to gen two?
