Removing intake to access FPRS--won't budge
.
Some guy on YouTube i'm watching this guy on youtube who removed the intake top off of an S-10 Blazer. i removed approx 10 fasteners, including the rear-middle bolt, but the intake will not budge. Could the gasket sealant be holding this thing firmly? any secrets to pulling this top off? . . |
yep. kinda like removing all the bolts to a rear end cover and it just sits there. id hate to tell you yeah pry on it without seeing it in person but ive worked on intakes in the past where you have to get a screw driver in there and pry it up. try not to scratch up the mating surfaces though

http://torquespecs.tripod.com/images/s-1xa4_3f4.gif sheesh, i was overlooking the #10 bolt (in a valley) which is typically out of my view due to the throttle body mount stuff, but also camouflaged with caked dirt. Thanks so much Kansasboy, nice link! The top lifted right-up! . . |
