Default Replacing Solenoid B

Hello All. I recently changed the gasket on the Transmission pan and was having some troubles afterwards. Upon discussing it in this forum and getting a diagnostic run, I've discovered that I need to replace "Solenoid B" (I didn't take the crossbar off when dropping the pan...my fault).
I have never changed a solenoid before. I'm guessing that I drop the pan(after removing the cross bar ) than just swapping them out. Is that correct or am I missing something?

The problem likely is not with the solenoid itself, but with the wiring harness inside the pan. It is very easy to damage the wiring if you don't remove the pan properly. You can test the solenoid with a multimeter. The information is posted in the appropriate OBD2 code listing in the Tech Article section.

you can look at these video from you tube, when I change my filter and gasket I don't remove the cross member either and I damage the solenoid when I pull down the pan...
