rough idle, hard hot starts, P0175

2001 4.3L, drivability is fine for the most part, but it runs rough at idle, is a little hard starting when hot (takes some cranking), and periodically throws the P0175 code for rich fuel, bank 1. Any ideas? MAF sensor? Basic tune up needed?

Fixing to drive from Texas to Maryland and back next week, so want to get it handled B4 I leave.

Thanks

Craig

Same Problem: Hot Weather Hard Start

Over the last week, during this hot, humid weather, my 2001 Blazer won't start right up. A few cylinders fire, then stops. Until today, after several tries, it would start and run just fine. After driving 10-15 minutes, shut it off, it would start a little quicker. Another stop, started even quicker. After the 3rd or 4th stop, it would seem to start up normally. Now, today, in the hottest part of the day, maybe 95, it won't start at all.

The corrugated covering on one spark plug wire had slid down, the wire was resting against the transmission fluid fill tube, and had some grey discoloration, so I slid the covering back up, but it didn't help.

Any body have a suggestion?

tune up

a basic tune up should do it. i did to mine for prev maint. i replaced my wires plugs rotory cap and dis cap just make sure u dont cross your wires i did and it misfired like a b.... i just found wich ones that was a fixed the problem. you have to go under the wheel wells to replace the plugs and the third plug is hard to get oout due to the steering shaft runs right in front of it all i did is squeezed the plug socket over it and took a wrech that fit the socket to get it out and put it back in. plug gap is to be 0.060 and i would go with either ac delco plugs wire etc or orielys brand autolite platium plugs cap rotor and wires the same brand nascar uses and i noticed my mpg went up about 5 mpg
