rpm spike once in gear
Im completly at a loss here. Tonight, leaving a friends cabin, I noticed that when I put my truck into gear that my rpms increase and it begins to roll on its own like a manual would if the clutch is slowly let out. I had this problem the whole ride home, but it only happens while in gear, park and neutral are fine, but once in drive or reverse I get a rpm spike. If I completly stop the truck the rpms return to normal, around 500 or so, but once I give it alittle gas they jump back up and wont go below 1200 or so. Anyone please help, this is my dd so I cant really afford to have it off the road long, Im hoping its nothing to major. HELP please, thank you.
