Default RPMs at 70mph?

Just want to compare. My 4x4 Blazer 4 door runs at 2500 RPM at 70mph, seems a bit high to me, but it could be normal, just want what you have to say

my 2000 4 dr 4x4 runs that too. 2000 and tho i dont do it often, and 60 is around 2000. i am usually doing less than 45 as the quickest route to anywhere from here is the back roads.

My Brava does about 2350. But according to my GPS, the speedo is approx 1 mph slow.
Factory spec tire size, Firestone Destination AT
I havent checked the tach against the scan tool yet. Suggest you may want to calibrate both that way.

Mine was about 2500 as well. then after i got my PCM tune it was at 2300 and now with 31's its at about 2200 at 70. That is with 3.73 gears also.

And petty, my speedo used to do the same thing and i think thats because most of our trucks are calibrated for the 235/70/15's. After i got my PCM tuned for my tire size it was dead on.

Ok, thanks all. I plan doing a small lift and putting on 31s. How do I get my PCM and speedometer gauged up?

There are parameters in the PCM concerning the gear ratio & tire diameter. Being that you have a '95, your options are limited and really depend on what you have in it for a PCM. Three different PCM configurations were used throughout the '95 production year.

BTW, please either create a garage for your vehicle, list it in your signature & attach to your posts, or at the very least post the vehicle information in your original post. It gets old looking for vehicle information!

mine is just above 2000, with 31's on and about 2 inches of lift.

lift and bigger tires will eat into your fuel economy, it did for me anyways.
