another issue with mine the ac compressor does not engage now that this started happening with the PO410 and PO418 codes sometimes it works when I drive for a while but usually not I think it is related somehow because when the ac does decide to work it is fine so compressor is good and not low on coolant

 

i also have this problem on my 2001 bravada with 132K. im also throwing p0101 (maf) and p0404 (egr). it has run fine up untill today. i usually go pretty easy on the gas cuz i cant afford to feed it. but today i was trying to speed up to get into traffic and i floored the accelerator. the motor reved up to 3k rpms and then it choked out and wouldnt go any faster. when i let off the gas and accelerated like normal it was fine again. i could hold 70 mph just fine but i couldnt find any power to accelerate hard. i've also noticed lately im gettin a couple mpg's worse then normal. tomorrow im going to replace the fuel filter in hopes its a cheap fix.

if the valves on the air injection system were to be stuck open, it would allow excess moisture into the exhaust system, right? could that, if ignored long enough, cause the cat converter to become plugged? i have 2 of the symptoms of a possibly shot cat; no power and worse gas mileage... we just got a car lift at work so cuttin that out and putting up a straight pipe wouldnt be real difficult. im decent with a motor but not all this new-fangled stuff and i dont a garage, great equipment or money. any help is appreciated
