Bought this rig it says 280k. Kept clean from original owner, the dude i go it from didnt.. He did the upper gaskets and it leaked from the valve covers and intake. I tore it apart to replace them and found a bit of water. It runs pretty well actually so i was surprised to see the milky is oil and all that. the bottom of the distributor had a it of water on the teeth.. I noticed coolant in the exhaust port in the heads? Is that normal? Also pictured it looks like the heads are messed up.. Pictured below is that normal? Or should i replace the heads.

The first picture is the passenger side it's the worst, other one is the driver, I know a little bit and the indents don't look normal to me.. The gasket does look like it covers but it could explain the water?

How does the (head:wrong) intake side look? Do you have a pic of the heads as well?

Don't you mean how does the intake side look? OP is showing the heads.

Yeah Lesmyer, you are right!

The intake of course - sorry for that.

The gasket surfaces on both sides would be bothering me. Could explain the water. When heating up the system pressurizes slightly so it could leak past that gasket as the seal dosn't look too good.

Sorry for the months delay... Intake looked good, nothing else looked upsetting on the motor. I used some high heat JB weld and grinded it smooth.
