Default Slipping automatic transmission

yesterday morning out of the blue our transmission started slipping badly.

you had to ref the engine pretty good to get it going, after shifting to second gear everything seemed bettter. Reverse was also no problem.

I checked the ATF fluid level, but could not get a good reading.

So I bought some ATF Dexron III and put 0,5 liters in it. The slipping was gone immediately, but I still can not get a good reading.

This is what it looks like now.
dry dipstick:

after dip in oil:

no way I can get a reading out of this.

It seems like I overfilled, but that shoudl be impossible, because a slipping transmission would mean it is low on ATF and adding 0,5 liters shoud not overfill it, should it?

can anybody help me on this and maybe show me a picture of a dipstick of theuir own with a good reading on it?

thanks in advance...

follow procedures for checking the fluid level.
when you pull the dipstick out hold it horizontal have someone put a single layer of tissue on it while you are holding it level and you will be able to see where the line is
hope this helps you
