Unhappy Spider injector replacement . Help?

1994 Gmc Jimmy 4wd. 4.3 vortec with w vin
I am planning on replacing the spider injector and egr valve.

What gaskets will I need to buy for this job? Plenum gasket for sure but what others?
Also isn't there an updated spider injector ? How and where do I find an upgraded Cpi (spider injector)

According to this site that I found very helpful, the upgraded fuel injection spiders of which you might be thinking only work on the 96 and later models.

Vortec CSFI to MPFI conversion

For such a part, I'd err on the side of using the highest quality I could find.

Like christine said, the updated spider won't work on your truck. I'm in the same boat with my '95. Saw something about an updated spider, got all excited, and nope. Can't do it.

As far as gaskets, for the EGR, get the one with the screen on it. Usually in the "HELP" section of the parts store. For the spider, you just need the upper plenum gasket. Although I've been known to reuse the old one a few too many times lol.

Hi cleburne red,

Did you ever have a no start condition after re-using the upper plenum gasket?

Also, I have mixed numbers on the torque specs. I found 89-in lbs on line, but in my chilton manual it says 11ft lb (132 in-lbs)

thanks in advance
