Temp Gauge Quit Working
 

I recently changed the plugs in my dads 98 Blazier and things appeared to be fine for a day. Now the temp gauge quit working and the check engine light is always on. The heater puts out plenty of hot air. Runs a little more sluggish now and it seems like it doesn't want to start but does. Maybe the plugs have nothing to do with what happened but it ran fine the first day. All I know is that it doesn't run as good now, the check engine light is on, and the temp gauge doesn't work. Any ideas?

what kind of ignition products did you use ? and pull the codes the computer is trying to tell you whats wrong

check the wire to the temp sender on the drive side, you may have pulled it out by accident

i second that motion. I ripped the wires to mine without knowing it, until i was cruising down the highway and noticed my temp gauge hasn't moved at all. replaced it and everything was smooth sailing again.

has your 'check gauges' light popped on??

If it has, IMMEDIATELY pull over and shut the vehicle off. This indicates that your motor is overheating.

As for the plugs they should be good plugs. But as gio said get the codes pulled.

After an examination today, we found that my dad had broken the plastic end off the sensor on the manifold during our two man effort to change the middle plug on the drivers side. Hope JB Weld fixes it, if not, we'll have to get a new one. Thanks for your responses and you were right.
