What 5-speed and what transfer case are you running now?

I would love to take that 5-speed off your hands, but I don't have a 700R4, just a 4L60E.

Can you post a picture of that round tag? Chances are, that transfer case will be fine with the 700.

i'll have to figure out how to post pics.....im up in British Columbia but the K5 came from Arizona.....

No big deal if you can't post a pic, but the tag should have three digit number (with letters attached) like 241, 208, etc. Might be NP241C or something like that.

I think the problem you're going to encounter is that your current transmission output is 32-spline and the 700R4 is 27-spline.

Tom......208 C is model #

You'll have to change the transfer case input to a 27-spline and get the right adapter for the 700R4, but both parts are relatively inexpensive and readily available.

You're also going to need to provide for operation of the TV cable (throttle linkage) and do something for a shifter if you don't already have an auto column.

Your crossmember may have to be moved or modified, and I don't know how the driveshaft lengths will work out, but all said, it's a pretty easy swap

Much appreciated Tom...it'll be spring before i tackle this but will post the results........thanks again.

No problem. And good luck!
