is a 3/4 or 1/2 ton tranny the same as the 4l60e tranny in our blazers just built to handle more torque and hp if so could you use one in a blazer just curios cause this time next year my blaze is gonna be a short stroke power house and im looking for ideas to beef up the drive tran or should i just have the original built for it

I was told by a local builder once back when i was trying to find a 700r4 that the 700r4's and 4l60's had more clutches in the trucks then they did in the cars and small suv's.

its got the same bell housing as a small block chevy so you can basically bolt anything behind it. its just all the computer garbage that would be a pain to get to work right. im running the stock 4l60. soon as it blows im either gonna put a th350/np208 in it or just go over kill with a th400/np205. both will bolt up

can you tune the computer for the bigger tranny i woulld like to stay with the 4l60 tran and when this 4.3 starts crankin 300+hp my tranny wont last long i need a backup plan that is built for more torque and hp or should i just a racing tranny from jegs
