Default Trans shift problem

Hey all, I just did a motor swap in my Blazer, and it is amazing, but I am having one problem...

My transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd weird, the RPM's will go really high in between the shift, but after that 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th is fine.

I already checked for a vacuum leak, but I couldn't find one, any other suggestions

P.S. I will put pictures of the motor up if anyone wants to see

Lot of miles on the Blazer? This is on the '89 correct?

It could be anything from a TV cable that needs adjusted (since you just did a motor swap), worn part(s) in the valve body, or the trans needs rebuilt. I'm betting the TV cable needs adjusted. Do a Google or whatever search for TVmadeEZ or something like that. They have a Throttle Valve (TV) 101 that describes everything you'll ever need to know.

I wanna guess that it is the TV cable too, we adjusted it when we hooked up the throttle, but that was before it was running. I think it is off because the plate is in a slightly different place on the new motor, I will try adjusting and see how it goes, thanks for the reply!
