Transmission Help

I am debating what the best transmission would be the best to put with my 350 in my blazer. Can someone spread some light on what they recomend, and why. And just some general information

What transmission is currently in it or what did you take out? What year is the vehicle and are you running EFI?

Since you are going carb you could probably go either TH350 or 700r4. Running the TH350 will probably require relocating or modifying the crossmember mount. Running the 700r4 would mean you will need to pick a non-lockup converter or else the converter lockup kit which is used with a carb engine. This comes in two styles one which just uses a toggle switch and is operator controlled, but the other is installed in the vavle body and will lock the converter automaticlly. The Th350 uses vacuum as a shift refrence and the 700R4 uses a TV cable as a link between throttle position and shifting.
