Default Transmission leaking into Transfer Case

Originally posted to 2nd Gen Tech but I'm told it should have gone here:

2002 LS, Automatic & NP233; Transmission leaking into Transfer Case - from searching the Forums, I gather this is a fairly common problem, but I couldn't find any specifics on my model. Since my Haynes Manual is basically useless for this repair, can anyone offer some insight?
- Is there a seal on the Tranny I need to replace too or just on the Xfer Case?
- Anything else I should check to be sure the seal(s) is/are the only problem?
- Anything else I should do while I have the Xfer Case WRESTLED out?! (And ANYone have a good suggestion for getting Transmission Fluid out of your hair?! )

Thanks!

Where were you told that? Your original thread is fine right where it is, plus double posting is against Forum rules.
