Default 2002 Blazer LS 2Dr 4x4 1st to 2nd shift problems

My blazer is shifting hard when going from 1st to 2nd. I've read that this may be the valve body, but it said it was for the 2000 blazer at the latest. So any ideas? Another problem I'm having is that my air intake hose keeps falling off and yes I am tightening the hose clamp.

This is the hose I am talking about.

How many miles on your Blazer? Is your check engine light coming on?

I see something shiny where the arrow is pointing ?. On my 2000, there is nothing shiny there, just an IAT sensor stuck in the backside of the tube. Is your hose actually split/joined at that spot?

Your PCM may be confused by the hose falling off and cause a rough shift.

Bad motor mount might allow too much movement in the hose.

The "shiny thing" you are seeing is where light was coming through some trees. There was a lot of junk in the air box and it seemed to fix the shifting and the hose for now anyways but idk. Thinking about getting the BOMZ Racing air intake kit.

Idk if this could help but here is a video of the engine movement in high rpm's.

My '02 Blazer 4WD is having the same issue. My service engine light has been on for about three months (haven't had the money to get it checked). The issue didn't start until I over-filled the gas tank. It currently has 52k miles on it.

Any help would be much appreciated.
