Unexpected problems with '01 4.3L

Like I said in my intro I've had my Blazer for just under a year and everything has been going smooth until recently.
I've had an oil leak since I got the thing but it wasn't too bad, it got maybe a quart low between oil changes, but it has started to get worse and I can't figure out where it's leaking from. There's negligible oil drip in the driveway. I went to check the oil today and add some if needed. The dipstick and inside the oil cap look like there's probably water/coolant mixed in. The engine sounds fine while running and the only thing I've seen that might indicate any problems was today with the dipstick.
I'm thinking from what I've seen on here in my lurking that the intake manifold gasket is most likely the problem. I'm just really hoping it isn't the head gasket, I've done a couple of those on a couple of cars and it sucks!
I can provide additional details as needed, I just need to know what might be the problem. Also if anyone has done the work I need to do to it can you give me an estimate on the cost of the supplies.

If your 2001 has an oil cooler built into the radiator, it could have ruptured and caused the coolant/ oil mixture there. Check the radiator and the reservoir for oil. If it did, the coolant will look like a chocolate milkshake. I am afraid it is most likely in the engine gaskets.

Thanks for the reply jimspahr, which gaskets do you mean by engine gaskets?

Either intake manifold gaskets or head gaskets.

OK, I guess I'll check for the oil cooler or start tearing it down and check out the intake manifold gasket. Thanks.
