Used Tranny Cost????
 

Well the Tranny went on my 1995 Blazer 4x4...I was just wondering if anybody would know how much it's going to cost me to get a used one from the junkyard? If anyone has bought one from a junkyard before and could give me some info it'd be appreciated.

Not sure what a junkyard price would be, I got a used (30K) tranny off eBay, 550 + 100 shipping, FYI

Might want to have it repaired. I bought a tranny from the wreckers that have clean fluid and looked good. Well it cost $200 for the tranny then $2200 to have it rebuilt. It was basically toast, although I did have upgrades installed. Another time the reverse band in my car went. So I bought a used tranny from a guy who parted out thunderbirds etc and was guaranteed it to work fine. Well needless to say I wasted my time and got my money refunded. I just ended up having the original rebuilt for cheaper than what I spent to buy the used tranny, install it and then remove it. That was doing all the r&r myself or else you would be out labour if you paid someone.
